MIDDLEBURY COLLEGE, MIDDLEBURY, VT 05753 seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor, Instructor (ABD), or Lecturer (M.A. or equivalent) for a one-year term position in Modern Hebrew Language and Culture, beginning September 2011, with possibility of a two-year extension.
Candidates applying at the Lecturer rank should have a proven record of excellence in Hebrew language teaching at the college/university level. The successful candidate will teach beginning and intermediate Hebrew, as well as tutorials for advanced students. Native or near-native fluency in Hebrew is required. Interested candidates attending the June 2011 conference of the NAPH should contact the search committee chair immediately to arrange for a preliminary interview. Candidates will be asked to provide evidence of accomplishment and/or commitment to excellent teaching.
